‘I am volunteer coordinator for Jersey Brain Tumour charity. It is a very humbling experience meeting people who have gone through, or are still going through, such trauma and still getting on with their lives. Some still have problems, medical, financial and social but the charity is able to support them and their families as needed.
‘Helping with a charity certainly puts into perspective any of our own perceived problems as well as being an opportunity to meet interesting people and learn from them. So I would advise, “Go ahead and give it a try”.’
