Please support the event and help Family Nursing & Home Care raise vital funds to support families of children with life limiting illness

5km circular run along the beach, every kilometer runners pass through a ‘paint station’ where they have coloured paint thrown at them from a team of volunteers.

This year offers more paint, new games and a brand new competition – The Runner who raises the most sponsorship will win the opportunity to let off  a fire hydrant full of powdered paint.  The winner will be invited onto the stage at the end of the run and will cover the crowd with a blast of colour.

This is what we are fundraising for;

The Colour Run is such an important event for Family Nursing & Home Care.  Funds from last year’s event have enabled us to recruit a Paediatric Palliative Care Worker.  This provides care for children and their families where there is a diagnosis or recognition of a life limiting or life shortening condition.

Jersey has an increasing number of children suffering from chronic and acute conditions, requiring long term or intensive care.  By extending the Community Paediatric Service in this way we have be able to reduce the stresses imposed on families caring for a child with disabilities, therefore, families can maintain an independent lifestyle for as long as possible.

Funds raised through this year’s event will be used to maintain and develop the role of Paediatric Palliative Care Worker.  Which allows us to provide care and support to local families when they need it the most.  We ask for your help to achieve this goal by spreading the word and encouraging your friends, family and colleagues to register and run alongside you, or to sponsor you whilst watching from the side line.
